From tear-jerkers to nostalgia, this week has provided plenty of memorable content
When we talk about the tragedies the world has faced over the last 12 months, it’s sometimes easier to skim past the mental tolls it has taken on so many. One group that have been greatly affected are the frontline workers who have been playing a huge part in keeping Covid-19 under control. This week, adam&eve DDB honour them and the struggles they are facing in a touching campaign aptly named ‘Frontline19’.
The premise of the short film is to highlight the PTSD that two in five healthcare workers have faced since Covid-19. It’s a film that needs to be watched with a box of tissues but highlights how a simple act of kindness can mean so much.
Also this week, Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream is given a harrowing makeover in a PSA from shooting survivors by Sandy Hook Promise. Elsewhere, there’s a trip down memory lane in a real-life ‘bearbnb’, taking inspiration from Winnie the Pooh and a Hollywood-inspired Apple clip.
