VCCP Supercharges VCCP CX to Complete Leadership Line-Up

VCCP CX, the dedicated customer experience arm of VCCP, has today announced two key senior hires, signalling a major step-change and significant investment for the experience strategy, design and engineering business. The new roles complete the leadership line-up and will supercharge the already well-established and award-winning CX capability, acting as a further challenge to the Big Four consultancies and agency holding companies.

VCCP CX welcomes Scott Ewings as CEO, and Josette James as client partner, both of whom come directly from WPP. Reporting to Michael Sudgen, CEO of VCCP Partnership, they will join the existing management team which includes Jonny Goodall, chief design officer and chief experience officer, Adrian Gans. Ewings will oversee the department’s 130 person-strong customer experience capability and will work closely with James who also joins the senior leadership team.

The duo will take VCCP CX’s unique offering of dynamic brand experiences out to the market, delivering breakthrough experiences that matter, that last, and deliver measurable positive impact.

They are also tasked with driving further integration across the rest of the VCCP Partnership enabling existing clients to tap into CX at scale and with innovation at its core.

VCCP CX runs the pan-European CRM account for Canon and has also been O2’s experience design agency of record since 2016, working on everything from eCommerce, digital transformation to voice, AI and innovation. At the beginning of this year VCCP CX was also appointed as brand experience agency of record for Reckitt and was placed on the BBC’s Digital Agency roster. Creatively they have been awarded by global festivals including the Webbys and Lovies as well as by BIMA for work with O2, Easyjet and the NSPCC. Two recent digital campaigns of note for VCCP CX include Cadbury’s ‘Easter Worldwide Hide’ and Easyjet ‘Holidoorways’.

Ewings is a veteran brand experience leader with a track record of driving client and agency impact dating back to early internet and technology cycles. He has a relentless and highly progressive stance on upgrading the agency landscape to be more focused on achieving purpose and fostering talent.

Scott notably led Fjord, Ustwo and Potato (part of AKQA/WPP) in the UK, helping to establish them all as outstanding digital product studios, as well as working client-side as an experience strategy leader with Vodafone in Australia. Scott is also an active member of the ‘Tech for Good’ movement.

With a passion for the customer's experience of the brand and creating more innovative, modern interactions James joins with an enviable and unique leadership experience in brand, CRM, performance media and technology agency roles. James was previously Global Client Partner and Head of Account Management at Wunderman Thompson and prior to this, worked at agencies including Merkle Consulting as EMEA SVP, PSONA as Managing Director and TMW, as well as spending 8 years at Wunderman where she rose to the role of Chief Client Officer.

James is credited with being the master at creating successful roadmaps for clients to achieve high impact approaches to their business with brands such as IKEA, INGKA, Sky and News UK amongst them. In her role at VCCP she will oversee key relationships with clients including Canon, Kia, Domino’s, Reckitts and Abbotts.
