The Effie Awards ceremony took place yesterday in a virtual show streamed live from the Mansion House. Run by IAPI, these Effie Awards are the first of their kind for Ireland, replacing the AD:FX Awards from previous years.
The Effie Awards are known by advertisers and agencies globally as the pre-eminent effectiveness award in the industry, and recognize any and all forms of marketing that contribute to a brand's success. For over 50 years, winning an Effie has become a global symbol of achievement.
Speaking about the wins, Margaret Gilsenan, Chief Strategy Officer at Boys+Girls said, “We’re absolutely delighted to win 4 Effies at the inaugural Irish Effies Awards. They are the global benchmark for truly effective work and so we’re honoured to have our campaigns for ŠKODA, Three and Energia recognised for their brilliant results. We previously had great successes with AD:FX so we’re excited to keep that success going. Congratulations to all the teams involved on both Client and Agency sides, it is great to see great work recognised”
Every Irish Gold winner will be given the opportunity to enter both Euro Effie ‘Best of the Best’ and Global Effie ‘Best of the Best’ in 2022. In the past month, Margaret judged the first Global ‘Best of the Best’ Awards this year, the results of which will be announced in the next month.
