American Family Insurance Congratulates Derek Jeter on Induction Into the Hall of Fame

On September 8th, Major League Baseball will host its Hall of Fame ceremony honouring the inductees for the classes of 2020 and 2021. In honour of the occasion, American Family Insurance will be running a special commemorative commercial saluting Derek Jeter and all of his accomplishments, both on and off the field.

Derek has been a long-time brand ambassador for American Family Insurance. His commitment to inspiring and supporting the dreams of youth aligns with American Family’s mission to inspire, protect and support dreams. After all, a dream is the most valuable thing a person will own. As Sherina Smith, VP of marketing at American Family, says: “The intention of our advertising is to inspire people to reach for their dreams, knowing that along the way, there are people pushing them to pursue their dreams and American Family Insurance is there to support and protect the things that matter most."

The ad itself features Derek walking into a room filled with items marking special milestones in his life, from photographs of his mom, dad and sister, Sharlee, to his best friend Jorge Posada, high school coach, wife and children, and even his nephew, who wears his number two. It ends with Derek saying: “With the right support, any dream is possible. American Family Insurance. Insure carefully, dream fearlessly.”

The tribute ad will debut on September 8th during the MLB Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. It will then continue to run on the MLB network as well as MLB.com. It was created by American Family’s creative agency partner, Elite Media, and will run in 30, 15 and 06 second lengths.
