Ad Council partnered with influencer Techniq for PSA running in donated time and space on Twitch and other social platforms
For the first time ever, the Ad Council has partnered with Twitch, the leading livestreaming entertainment service, to co-create a PSA 'My Mask is My Cheat Code', which ladders up to its 'Mask Up, America' efforts. Created pro bono, the video features Techniq, a rising streamer on Twitch with a rapidly growing following, as he talks to fans about the importance of face coverings.
The video premiered on Twitch this weekend during a livestream hosted by Techniq where he spoke to his audience about the benefits of wearing a mask, sharing his personal experience with Covid-19.
The PSA, which will be running in donated time and space on Twitch and other platforms, carries a still critical message, helping remind gamers everywhere the importance of masking up to help end the pandemic. Especially as the number of Covid cases is on the rise again, it’s crucial that these messages are out there.
